This is a simple activity that you can do with your kids and it only requires a few supplies!! After creating these we had fun launching the pompoms into the air and then trying to catch them again in our cups. Here is what you need: - Solo Cup - Stickers or Sharpies (to decorate your cup) - Packing Tape - Balloon - Pom Poms
Directions: 1. Have an adult cut out the bottom of the solo cup. I used a knife to poke a hole in the bottom of the cup to get my scissors through first. 2. Decorate your cup with sharpie or stickers of your choice! Be as creative as you'd like. I do not recommend washable markers here as they will not stick to the cup. 3. Once your cup is decorated have an adult secure the balloon onto the bottom of the cup. I did this by cutting the bottom quarter of the balloon off, stretching the balloon over the opening on the cup and then securing with packing tape. Once the balloon is secured you can tie it off making sure it is nice and tight so you've got a nice springy surface inside the cup. 4. Grab your pom pom and LAUNCH!! My Name is Tamara Schmidt. I live with my husband, my beautiful daughter and our two dogs in Edmonton, Alberta. I am a classically trained pianist with over 12 years of teaching experience. I have a diploma in Occupational Therapy Assisting through Grant MacEwan University and prior to having my daughter I worked in pediatrics at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital on a psychiatric unit and in their school rehabilitation program coordinating art programs and aiding the children with their fine and gross motor skills. After having my daughter I began working at Montessori Preschool where I created and currently teach their music program. Along with my love of music I love creating!! From crafts to soaps to clothing...if I can make it myself I will!! My daughter and I love spending our time painting, drawing, or making crafts out of our recyclables or things we find outside. We also love spending time outdoors enjoying what mother nature has to offer. My perfect day would include time with my family (preferably doing something active outdoors) an opportunity to play the piano and or sing, and a chance to create something with my hands.
