Homeschool Sewing School 1: The Basics (age 8+) $120
September 9 & 16 ~ 11:30am-1:30pm Students will learn basic sewing machine skills from threading the machine to learning a basic straight stitch and creating a pocket pillow. All materials will be provided EXCEPT the fabric as it is best for the student to pick out something that they love rather than having me choose for them. You will need one meter of woven cotton fabric for this project or two half meters if they would like to combine patterns/colors. Fabric Land has a great selection of woven fabrics for a decent price.
**No prior sewing experience needed.
Homeschool Sewing School 2: Build Your Skills (age 8+) $175
October 14, 21, 28 ~ 11:30am-1:30pm
In this class students will build their sewing skills and follow a pattern to create a cooking apron (either for themselves or to give as a gift!) All materials will be provided EXCEPT the fabric as it is best for the student to pick out a fabric that they love rather than me decide for them. For this project you will need a minimum of 2 meters of cotton woven fabric, Fabric Land has a great selection of woven cotton fabric for a decent price.
**Sewing School 1 or a basic sewing machine knowledge is recommended for this class
PD DAY/Homeschool Water Color Workshop - Christmas Edition (age 6+) $65
Friday November 14 ~ 9am-12pm
Turn Christmas into a watercolor wonderland and paint your way through this festive season, learn the basics of water color and create from homemade Christmas cards, gift tags and ornaments.
Fee includes all materials needed for the class, students will go home with a their own watercolor paint set.
Homeschool - Wreath/Felt Flower Making Workshop (age 8+) - $75
Friday November 28 ~ 9am-1pm
Come and create a beautiful, festive yard wrapped wreath with handmade felt flowers that you will be proud to hang in your home this Christmas season. Fee includes all materials needed for this workshop.
PD Day/Homeschool Watercolor Workshop (age 7+) - Flowers and Foliage- $135
February 26, 27 ~ 10am-1pm
Learn the basics of painting different water color flowers and foliage on day one in the studio then for the second day we will meet at the Muttart Conservatory and paint the different plants we see in each pyramid. Admission to Muttart and all materials included in the fee.
PD Day/Homeschool Traditional Ukrainian Easter Egg Making (age 8+) $60
Friday March 20 12:30-2:30pm
Learn how to make traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs with a candle, stylus, bees wax and dyes! Students will learn about the significance of different patterns that are put on the eggs and create your own eggs to take home with you to display.
